About Bourton

Bourton is Tricker’s iconic men’s country shoe. These handmade shoes are a piece of Tricker’s Northampton shoemaking history, and yet today they are the go-to shoe for men all around the world. The Bourton is unmistakable – a heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, and the storm welt provides an additional watertight seal between the shoe’s upper and sole. The profile of a Bourton is characteristically strong.

This colourway is a beautiful example of green earthy tones. Natural tones, suitable for any occasion and favouring the refined style.

The Leather 

Castorino Suede is a high-quality, full reverse suede. Reverse suede – also known as full-grain suede – is better quality than split suede which some shoemakers use. In Castorino Suede the full-grain leather and skin of a hide are left intact and the flesh side is the suede.

Castorino is extremely lightweight and features a very fine nap.

Dainite Soles
This is a rubber sole with large studs that provide grip – whilst not so traditional, they do provide good all-round grip and durability for most surfaces.

These are a generous fitting shoe, typically larger by half a size. So, if you normally take a UK size 8, we recommend you try a size 7.5.
