Trickers Bourton – Cuba Waxy Commander
LIMITED EDITIONS
About Bourton
Bourton is our iconic men’s country shoe. These shoes are a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, and yet today they are the go-to shoe for men all around the world. The Bourton is unmistakable – a heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, and the split welt provides an additional watertight seal between the shoe’s upper and sole.
As with all of Tricker’s shoes and boots, each pair of Stow boots are handmade within their Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established Tricker’s reputation. There are 260 processes used to make each pair from start to finish.
Dainite Soles
This is a rubber sole with large studs that provide grip – whilst not so traditional, they do provide good all-round grip and durability for most surfaces. Â
The Leather
CFS Waxy Commander is a rugged fashion leather, with a character all of its own. Tanned to shrink the fibre structure by up to 25%, in order to create a unique appearance after impregnation and the addition of a number of waxes. The tight fibre structure prevents any ‘opening’ or stretching, and the traditional, rich dyings work with the waxes during wear, to produce a wonderful combination of natural texture and colour.
